Dynamite Riches Megaways

Dynamite Riches Megaways feels like Red Tiger went back to its 2019 mining slot, shook the dust off it, then bolted on Megaways because, well, why not. You get 6 reels, up to 117,649 ways, the same grubby little mine setting and slightly better payout potential. It isn't a total phoned-in remake, not quite, but it does feel more like a rework than a genuinely fresh idea. I've played worse sequels, put it that way.

Game Overview

At the base of Dynamite Riches Megaways, this is standard Megaways stuff. You get 2 to 7 symbols falling on each of the 6 reels, so the ways count stretches up to 117,649 when the grid fills out. Nothing unusual there. What does change the feel a bit is the progress tracker above the reels, because that thing keeps poking at you. Every dynamite wild collected feels like a little push to stay longer, even when the session is going nowhere fast.

Dynamite Riches Megaways

You're still stuck in the same dark mine shaft, same shiny gold in the walls, same rough symbols, and that looping banjo soundtrack keeps at it until you either mute it or sort of stop hearing it. I muted it after a while, then turned it back on later, so maybe it isn't that bad. Max win sits around 7,000x, which isn't awful, but for a Megaways slot it feels a bit tight. That's where the game lands for me really. More moving parts, more reels, more noise, but not that much more danger. It can be fun once the modifiers start waking up, before that it feels a touch stingy and a bit samey.

Looks and Sounds

It looks very close to the old Dynamite Riches, almost suspiciously close really. Gold nuggets glow out of the mine walls, the colours are all dusty browns and yellows, and the symbols are the expected lanterns, helmets, tools and one slightly rough-looking prospector. The country track fits the theme, I suppose, but it gets repetetive fast unless you're hammering through spins on turbo.

Dynamite Riches Megaways Demo

I'd absolutely try Dynamite Riches Megaways demo before putting proper money through this one. The reason is simple enough, the slot hides a lot of its interesting bits behind that wild collection bar, and unlocking those modifiers can take ages if you're cold. In free play you can at least watch how the thing develops without burning through your balance for the privelige. It also gives you a feel for the medium variance, which can still be pretty flat in patches. If the base game annoys you in demo, it won't magically charm you for cash.

What Are the Symbols and Paytable

The paytable looks a bit miserable at first glance. Low symbols are just card suits dressed up as shiny gems and they only top out around 1x for six of a kind. The prospector is the best symbol and even that only pays 2x, which feels stingy for a top icon. Still, the slot expects cascades and extra ways to do the real work, so the values don't tell the full story on their own. Early on, regular dynamite wilds do most of the lifting. Without them, the reels can feel a bit limp.

Dynamite Riches Megaways Features

The whole game leans on collecting dynamite wilds. That's the main hook, no question. You need 60 in total to unlock all four reel modifiers, and until you've built some progress the base game can feel a bit bare. Once features are unlocked they stay active and can trigger randomly on later spins, which helps a lot. It just takes a while getting there.

TNT Modifier

TNT Modifier

TNT is the first modifier you unlock, after 15 collected wilds, so you'll usually get there without too much suffering. When it triggers, all the low-value symbols are removed for that spin and the better paying ones drop in instead. It's a simple feature, maybe a bit too simple, but it improves the feel of the grid right away. Suddenly the reels look less clogged with tat and more likely to connect. It doesn't always lead to a big result, obviously, though it can set up a handy cascade or two.

Raining Golden Wilds

Golden Wilds

At 30 collected dynamites, Golden Wilds joins the rotation. This one can drop up to 10 gold bar wilds across the middle four reels, and when it lands properly it makes the whole screen feel busier in a good way. Winning ways start linking up all over the place, or at least they can. Sometimes it still pays less than it looks like it should, which is annoying, but that's slots for you. Even so, this is one of the better modifiers because it creates the sort of spin that actually looks dangerous for a second.

The Compass Multiplier

Compass Multiplier

You unlock the compass multiplier once you've gathered 45 wilds, and it's probably the smartest feature in here. The compass spins and awards x2, x3, x5 or x10, then it just waits for your next winning spin instead of cashing in straight away. That bit adds some tension, or frustration, depending on how dead the reels go after. If the feature triggers again before a win lands, the value can stack up to x20. It can also carry into free spins, which is where it starts feeling a bit more intresting than the base game usually manages.

Full Reel Mega Wilds

Mega Wilds

Mega Wilds are the final unlock, so yes, you need all 60 collected dynamites before they become part of the game. They're full reel diamond wilds that can land on the middle four reels, and you can get up to 4 of them at once. Each comes with its own random multiplier from x2 to x7, which is where some of the better screenshots probably come from. When they connect, the slot finally feels like it has some bite. Trouble is, getting to this point can be a bit of a slog if the session is going badly.

Gold Spins Bonus

Gold Spins Bonus

Gold Spins triggers when 3 or more treasure cart scatters land anywhere, awarding 8, 10, 12 or 14 free spins depending on how many you start with. During the feature, every winning cascade adds 1 to the global multiplier until it reaches x20. Not unlimited, which is a shame, but still enough to matter when the reels behave. You can retrigger as well if 3 more scatters land in the bonus. Sometimes this round looks brilliant and pays little. Other times it wakes up late and suddenly saves the session. Very uneven, basically.

Real Time Winning Statistics for the Last Month

This slot can look generous for three evenings, then barely move for a week. Watching a whole month's results tells you more than one fortunate bonus ever will.

Daily Count of Paying Spins

The hit tally shows whether wins are dripping in steadily or arriving in awkward batches, which is honestly much closer to this slot's real rhythm.

How Much the Day's Wins Were Worth

That number matters more than spin count alone because a stack of small cascades can still leave the balance looking thin by the end.

Most people jump to this first because it answers the blunt question quickly: was the slot throwing any real punches, or mostly just filler?

Playing for Real Cash

If you're taking Dynamite Riches Megaways into real-money play, stick to a proper UKGC-licensed casino and check the paytable first, especially with Red Tiger's RTP versions floating about. Bets usually start at 10p and go up to £10, so most players will find a comfortable level. Just watch your balance because this slot can chew through 150 spins before all the good bits even wake up. If Gold Spins finally lands a nice hit, I'd be tempted to pocket it and move on.

How the Game Fits on the Phone

Red Tiger usually gets the mobile side right, and Dynamite Riches Megaways runs fairly smoothly on a phone. The controls are easy enough to poke at, the menus don't fight you, and the reels keep up fine even when cascades start stacking. So from a performance angle, I can't really moan. It works. That's the main thing.

Dynamite Riches Megaways on iPhone 17

Where it gets a little awkward is the layout. On a small screen, six reels with up to seven symbols each already takes up a lot of space, then the progress bar sits over the top demanding attention as well. Once modifiers start triggering, things can look a bit cramped and not in a good way. Portrait mode is usable, yes, but I wouldn't call it comfortable. Landscape feels much better because you can actually see what the reels are doing without squinting at tiny icons. If you've got bigger thumbs, even more so. Still, for a bus ride or killing ten minutes in the queue somewhere, it's very playable. Just maybe not the cleanest megaways screen you'll ever stare at on mobile.

Few Words About Red Tiger Gaming

Red Tiger Gaming Evolution License UKGC

Red Tiger built this one, and they do have a habit of dusting off older ideas and feeding them through the Megaways machine. Their games nearly always look polished but the maths underneath can feel a bit odd from title to title. That's true here as well. One thing I always check with Red Tiger is the RTP in the actual help file, because the different versions matter more than the marketing blurb would like you to believe. Red Tiger Gaming is under control of Evolution Malta Holdings Limited that is licensed in Great Britain by the Gambling Commission (GB) under account numbers 41655.

Some Tips For Playing

There's no clever trick, but I wouldn't touch it as a quick 20-spin dabble. Dynamite Riches Megaways only really starts showing its personality once you've unlocked a few modifiers, so short sessions can feel pointless. Expect some dry patches while the collection bar creeps up in tiny steps. That's just how it goes here. I'd set a proper loss limit before you start and stick to it, because it's very easy to keep chasing the next unlock, especially Mega Wilds, and suddenly realise you've fed the thing way more than planned.

What a Test Session Can Actually Feel Like

I tried to check slots with real money before writing about them, and I prefer to use UKGC sites for that. This time I played at PlayOJO. This casino has license under account number 39326 in UKGC. I topped up with Apple Pay. I started at £0.40 a spin for 110 spins, then pushed up to £0.80 for 70 spins once two modifiers were unlocked, before dropping to £0.20 for the last 60. Total stake came to £112. Gold Spins saved the session a bit near the end and my total return was £96.40. Not a disaster, not a triumph either. It felt better after 150 spins, which is also the problem.

Four Slots With a Similar Kind of Noise

If Dynamite Riches Megaways almost works for you, the obvious next stop is the original Dynamite Riches. Same unlock-bar mood, less Megaways sprawl. Fire in the Hole xBomb is far harsher and way more volatile, but the mining chaos overlaps. TNT Tumble has that blasted-symbol feel too, just looser and a bit more playful. And Bonanza Megaways scratches the dusty high-ways itch if you want the mine theme without the progress meter hanging over every session.

Would I Keep Coming Back to It?

I like the slow-burn unlock idea more than I like the raw slot underneath it. That's the truth of it. When Gold Spins lands with a stored multiplier, the game suddenly feels alive, maybe even a bit sneaky, because it makes you want to stay longer. RTP at 95.75% and a 7,000x ceiling keep my expectations in check, though. Worth trying if you already like Red Tiger or mining slots. Less tempting if you're hunting huge upside.
